5 hacks to speed up diary entries

App-in-supermarket

  1. Barcode scanning
Use the barcode scanner to add foods in just 2 taps. Point your phone at the product barcode, the item is found, tap once to select serving size, and again to add it to your diary.
  2. Fast Track & Multi-Add
This is super useful! Tap the 'plus' symbol next to the meal occasion in your diary to open Fast Track - this shows a list of foods you've added to that meal occasion most often. Then tap 'Multi-Add' (top left corner) to select several items at once. Easy!
  3. Copy forward
We tend to be creatures of habit and eat the same foods, so this feature lets you copy forward foods you eat regularly to future days. Simply tap on the food in your diary, followed by 'Copy' at the bottom of the page and select the time period to copy forward to.
  4. Save your favourites
You can save foods you eat frequently as 'Favourites' so they're quick and easy to find next time. Once added to your diary, tap on the item and select the red heart icon at the bottom of the page. Tap on the blue menu button (right of the search bar), to access your Favourites list.
  5. Create & save your fave recipes
For meals you cook regularly, it's worth entering and saving the recipe in 'My Meals'. You only need to do this once and then your meal is saved for future use. Tap My Meals in the bottom menu bar then tap '+Create' (top right on screen). Enter the ingredients and number of servings it makes. Once saved, you can simply add 1 serving to your diary whenever you make that recipe again.

How Nutracheck keeps it practical

  • You can still eat all your favourite foods – Nothing is banned, in fact we encourage you to have a little of what you fancy! Cutting out specific foods will only make you think about them more, and it's completely unnecessary. It is absolutely fine to have a little chunk of chocolate or the odd takeaway as part of a healthy balanced diet.
  • You can still eat out – We have an Eating Out category in our food database which gives the nutrition information for many popular restaurants and takeaways. So you can check the calories in your meal of choice and ensure you adjust what you eat throughout the day to compensate and stay within your calorie target.
  • You can still eat with your family – Because you're not cutting out foods, eating special meals or just drinking meal replacements, you can still eat the same meals as your family. Just make sure you calorie count your portion and add it to your diary accurately. Use the recipe calorie counter tool in 'My Meals' to add family meals and save to your own personal recipe book.
  • You can do it anytime, anywhere – No classes to attend, use Nutracheck from the comfort of home or on the go with the app. If you prefer privacy when it comes to losing weight, then Nutracheck is for you. You can keep your diary, join a virtual weigh-in group and chat to your friends on the forum – all anonymously.
  • It takes less than 10 minutes a day – That's no time at all to keep your weight in check. We think nothing of spending 10 minutes on a daily habit such as doing our hair, so why isn't your waistline and health worth the same few minutes of attention? Try these 5 tips above or just ask us if you need any help!
