Vegan fizz

Many of us are partial to a glass of fizz. But as with table wines, Champagne, prosecco and sparkling wines can contain animal by-products, including milk protein (casesin), egg white, gelatin or isinglass, which is made from fish bladders, meaning that vegans need to be more aware of what they're swilling.

Some top brands including Moet & Chandon, Piper-Heidsieck and Champagne Thienot are completely vegan-friendly. But if you're looking for something more affordable that you can enjoy without draining your wallet, the supermarkets have some great vegan fizz for around (or just over!) a tenner – here's a few:
