Am I over exercising?

Hello there, I am in love with exercise again and really do like to do a variety of workouts. Is it ok to burn more calories over what is recommended by the site? I burn at least 600calories well it says I only need to burn 200 many. Thanks, Sam

Hi Sam,

The website guidance is a minimum so it is ok to go over the 200 calorie target. To a certain degree burning more calories from exercise will aid your weight loss target as it will support any potential inaccuracies or miscalculations that can occur in the food diary (as calculations are inherently always approximations). The only thing to be aware of it where the calorie deficit you create from exercise could be too high but in such an instance you would expect to experience persistent headaches, tiredness, lethargy and/or trouble sleeping, so just listen to your body and adjust accordingly.

Hope this helps,

Kelly
