New Goals Challenge - Use a new app feature

Emma & Amy - Nutracheck Nutritionists

Why does it matter?

The app is packed with great features, and it can take a while to discover them all. So this task is about forcing yourself to explore the app and try something new. You never know, you could find a feature that is super helpful for you! Here are some you may not have tried:

Helpful reminders

  • Need a nudge to add your meals? (Tap the blue menu icon next to the search bar in your diary > 'Reminders').
  • Struggle to drink water? Set yourself an alarm (Tap the blue menu icon next to the search bar in your diary > 'Reminders').

Diary hacks

  • You can really speed up entering foods when you use 'Fast Track'. It saves all the foods you have ever added to that meal occasion in the past. And you can add multiple foods in one go. (Tap the + symbol next to the meal occasion).
  • Copy your diary to future days (Tap on the food in your diary > COPY in the bottom menu > select time frame).

Exercise related

  • Link your fitness tracker – Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit (Find under 'More').
  • Try the new strength training feature – great if you use free weights. Track your sets and reps (Find them under the 'Exercise' search bar).

For recipes

  • Get inspiration for new meals in our Popular Recipe (Find under 'My Meals').

For motivation

  • Track some extra measures such as your waist, clothes size, and body fat percentage (Tap > 'Progress' > top left menu).
  • Cut yourself some slack with an easier day. You can give yourself a more relaxed calorie target on certain days of the week (Tap 'Diary' > blue menu button next to the search bar > 'Diary Preferences' > 'Easier Days').
  • Forum – engage with other members of the Nutracheck community and motivate each other to reach your goals (Find under 'Forum').

For insight

  • Check your daily diet summary – this shows how you are measuring up to healthy guidelines (Tap 'Diary' > white pie chart icon in the top right).
  • Check out our Blog – type in a search term e.g. 'fibre' to find loads of useful articles and recipes, with new ones added each week (Tap 'More' > 'Blog').
  • Check your food reports to discover which foods in your diet are contributing the most and least nutrients (Tap 'Diary' > white pie chart icon in the top right – select a nutrient at the bottom of the page).

To personalise

  • Prefer dark mode? Switch the colour of your app (Tap 'More' > 'Dark Mode').
  • Change the nutrients you track in your diary (Tap the column header and use the drop down).
  • Would you like another meal occasion? e.g. one especially for Drinks (Tap 'Diary' > blue menu button next to the search bar > 'Diary Preferences' > 'Edit Meal Occasions'.
