How much weight have you lost and how long did it take?

I have lost 10st 4lbs144lbs65.3kg, which took just over 1 year and 3 months.

What prompted your decision to lose weight?

My weight had been something that had bothered me for a long time and I was just putting on more and more weight. I had no energy and low self-esteem. Bending over and walking up stairs had become difficult and I felt the effects on my health being that size. I had tried dieting before without guidance and I was considering weight loss surgery.

How did you hear about Nutracheck?

I decided to give losing weight naturally one last try, and I downloaded Nutracheck, which I found on the App Store.

Has your weight stayed fairly consistent over the years, or have you always had to manage it?

I have had issues with my weight since my teens.

How easy was it to fit the changes you made into your lifestyle?

I found the App easy to use and features like scanning the barcodes is really helpful and all the calculations are done for you. It also tells you how many calories you should eat to expect different levels of weight loss per week, which takes out the guess work.

How do you feel now compared to before?

I have so much more energy now and my self-confidence has increased a lot. Clothes are no longer hard to find.

What 3 tips would you give to anyone who has weight to lose?

  1. Don't be disheartened if you slip up, just make sure you pick yourself back up; don't tell yourself 'I will start again Monday', get back on it straight away.
  2. Even if you have a day where you know you've eaten over your calories, still record it as it helps to keep you mindful of the calories you are eating.
  3. Try to work on your self-confidence straight away, as confidence isn't automatic from losing weight, you have to re-learn feeling good about yourself.
