How much weight have you lost?

I've lost 4st 11lbs 67lbs 30.4kg.

What prompted your decision to lose weight?

I was on holiday in Salou last October 2018. I've always said my weight never stopped me doing anything, only it did. I love roller coasters and we went to Portaventura theme park and was getting on a roller coaster when there was a delay because they couldn't do the bar up over my stomach.

They did manage to wedge it shut but I didn't feel safe and asked to get off. My husband stayed on. Now this is what changed everything...when he got off I asked if he enjoyed it and he said "it wasn't the same without you, I missed you". That was it for me, it really upset me that I made him feel like that. My weight has never bothered him.

How did you hear about Nutracheck?

A friend mentioned she was using a calorie counting App so I looked on the App Store and picked Nutracheck to try.

Has your weight stayed fairly consistent over the years, or have you always had to manage it?

I've always been a big girl really. I can't remember ever being small, so my weight has always been a problem.

How easy was it to fit the changes you made into your lifestyle?

I've found this the easiest way to lose weight. I've done Weight Watchers - I lost 2st28lbs12.7kg then put it all back on and more. I've found this App super easy to use. The biggest change I've made is portion size - I still eat all the food I love just less of it, as this App teaches you what is in the food you're eating. I've not found it hard or difficult - if I go out for a meal I use my exercise calories so I either still lose weight or stay the same.

How do you feel now compared to before?

I feel so much better now. I don't get out of breath going up the stairs, I go to the gym now and generally feel so much fitter.

Any notable milestones to report?

My milestone was being able to get into a size 18. I know that's still big for some people but that's 2 sizes down for me.

What 3 tips would you give to anyone who has weight to lose?

  1. Lose weight for you.
  2. Track absolutely everything you eat - it really does make a difference.
  3. Exercise. Even if it's walking round the block on your lunch break for ten minutes - it all helps!
