There’s some evidence that a  really reduced carbohydrate diet can negatively affect thyroid function, so I’d advise you not to go too low carb and to include some healthy whole grains, pulses and oats in your diet.  Other nutrients that are important for a healthy thyroid include iodine, which is found in the largest quantities in low fat dairy products and white fish, and selenium, which is found in really good amounts in Brazil nuts, as well as in tinned tuna. The most important thing, though, is to work with your doctor to find a level of medication that suits you.
