I have athritis and do a some exercise each night if I can to keep mobile. I do 8 actions of bending and twisting 20 times each but don't know how to calculate this. Can you help? Linda

Hi Linda,

Urm...this is a tough one to formulate but my suggestion to you would be to give your routine a standard figure like 20 calories so that you do count it. Unfortunately as the movements will be low-impact, low-intensity and controlled the calorie usage isn't massive but every calorie counts so....great question!

I would also just like to say how impressive it is to hear that you do have a mobility routine because too many people don't take the step of long-term, quality of life movements, to combat the effect arthritis can have on flexibility! Big well done!
