How many calories in a carvery?

Please could you tell me roughly how many calories there are in a carvery? I have tried to search through the list of foods but cannot find it. Thanks

HI

Well this is a bit like “how long is a piece of string?”,  depending on how much you pile up you plate!   A slice of roast meat, depending on size and thickness is likely to be around 45g and a meat portion from a carvery will be unlikely to be less than 150g if that gives you a clue. Then you need to add your roast potatoes and veg on top, and don’t forget Yorkshire puds and gravy! I’d be surprised if a piled up plate from the carvery would be less than around 700 calories as a rough guideline. Remember to include glasses of wine, or other drinks you have with the meal as well. Perhaps it would be a good idea to dispense with pud under the circumstances!
